Privacy and Record Handling

Your Privacy Matters: How We Handle Psychological Assessment and Therapy Records

At our practice, your privacy is our top priority. We’re honored to support neurodiverse clients—and we take your privacy seriously.

We understand that undergoing a psychological assessment or receiving therapy is a deeply personal process, and we are committed to protecting your information with the highest standards of confidentiality and care.

In light of recent public discussions and growing concerns around data privacy—particularly regarding neurodevelopmental and mental health diagnoses—we want to be fully transparent about how your records are managed:

  • Private-Pay Only: We are a private-pay practice. This means we do NOT share any part of your records with insurance companies, government agencies, or third parties—unless you explicitly request it in writing.

  • No Online Storage of Assessment Results: Assessment results will not be stored in any online databases or cloud-based platforms.

  • Handwritten Notes: During the assessment process, we may take handwritten notes. These are stored securely and are never digitized or uploaded to third-party systems without your consent.

  • Use of Simple Practice (SP): While we use a 3rd party platform, Simple Practice, for scheduling and communication, we are mindful of what information is entered into the platform. Diagnostic codes and full reports are only added or shared through SP if you specifically request it (e.g., for insurance reimbursement purposes).

  • Your Information Will Never Be Shared Without Your Consent: We will not disclose your records to anyone—including insurance, government, or legal entities—without your written permission. Even the fact that you’ve worked with us will remain confidential unless you choose to share it.

  • We know the world is shifting rapidly, and protecting your health information has never been more important. Please know: your trust is not taken lightly, and we will always advocate for your privacy and well-being above all else.

  • Please know that we are here to support you, and we will always act in your best interest.

If you have any further questions about our privacy policies or how your information is handled, we welcome you to contact us.
